Spark Plug

Spark Plug
How I can remove the spark plug wires and spark plugs of my age 98 intrigue?

I'm trying to remove the spark plug wires and spark plugs in this car, but it has a boot that covers the end of the spark plug and spark plug wire. I tried to pull and move a lot but do not fall despite loosening a bit. Do I have to remove the cables first to remove the boot? I tried to remove the cables first, but they are not going well.

This is what we is .. the rubber part of the spark plug. If you are replacing with new wires just pull and pull until it comes out. Simply "snap" into place, but in recent years that the rubber sticks to the pin a little. Is likely to pull the cable from the boot, once this happens the cable is no longer any good. That piece of gum stuck the shot is actually a part of the wire. Sometimes it helps to have a pair of pliers and clamp some of the tip of the boot to rotate in a circular motion, this will break "seal" or link that is making it stick to the pin. Once (the gum) freely rotating on the plug should be pulled out pretty easy. There is a clip metal inside the boot that stands out on the tip of the plug will have to take out the plug with pliers once the boot is removed so you can get a socket on the spark plug. The spark plug is required either 5 / 8 or 3 / 4 inch deep well take to remove it. unscrew watch as the opposite. Do not squeeze the time to install, just real tight, if you have aluminum heads that could damage the threads and then you have a serious problem. Always start the plug back with you fingers and tighten the screws to the bottom, as far as possible before tightening the ratchet. You should go easy if there is any resistance when trying to screw cap fingers can not be happening in the line. Do not force it, if this is not going down the stretch. That easily be able to tell if your screw correctly or not.
